Hey fellow golf enthusiasts! Have you had the pleasure of playing at The Clubhouse at Coos Golf Club in beautiful Bandon Dunes yet? If not, you're in for a treat. This gem, masterfully designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. back in 1965, perfectly captures the essence of coastal and forested terrains, making each round a picturesque journey.
One of my favorite challenges is the 7th hole, a tricky par 3 where you'll need to skillfully float your tee shot over a water hazard to land on a green that’s zealously guarded. Trust me, it’s as thrilling as it sounds! And for those looking to conquer this course, here’s a tip: focus on accuracy over power, especially on holes like the 18th with its narrow fairway leading up to an elevated green – it’s a real test of your precision and strategic thinking.
Beyond the play, The Clubhouse at Coos Golf Club is a hub for both local buffs and visiting players, known for its well-maintained greens and vibrant tournament scene. Whether you're here to improve your game or soak up the scenic views, this course is packed with character, challenges, and charm. Don't just take my word for it, come experience it for yourself!
